In an era of populist slogans and media noise, it's worth turning to the thought of Panajotis Kondylis, a Greek philosopher who warned decades ago about the pitfalls of mass society.

On April 15th, the first meeting with the Rector of WSG Marek Chamot and the Head of the Interdisciplinary Research Team on the Thought of Panagiotis Kondylis, Lech Zieliński, was published on the YouTube platform.

On October 24, 2024, dr hab. prof. UMK Lech Zieliński held a class on the reception of Kondylis' thought in Europe. The class sparked particular interest among students and faculty members, who expressed their willingess to study the works of this thinker. Since no translation of Kondylis’ texts into Turkish has been done so far, they declared the desire to engage in the translation work. During the discussion, the participants of the class asked about Kondylis’ texts and the presenter promised to provide them with the requested books.

As part of the Erasmus+ programme, dr hab. prof. UMK Lech Zieliński visited the Istanbul University (İstanbul Üniversitesi) and on October 24, 2024 delivered a lecture on Panajotis Kondylis' work, in which he answered the question why it is worth to study Kondylis' thought. 

On October 16th, Adam Marszałek invited Prof. Lech Zieliński to a meeting to discuss in detail the promotion of the fourth volume of the "Scripta Kondyliana" series.

The lecture "Between Utopia and Reality: Confrontation of the Idea of Human Rights with Historical Reality in the Perspective of Panajotis Kondylis" was delivered by Prof. Zieliński in Nałęczów.

On February 6, the defense of the doctorate of the secretary of our team, Filip Olkiewicz, took place.

On Friday, December 8th, 2023, our Team Leader gave a lecture dedicated to Panajotis Kondylis to members of the Bydgoszcz branch of the Polish Philosophical Society and invited guests.

On December 4, 2023 an annual meeting was held. Team members of our research group summarized what was achieved this year and what are plans for next year.

During the research trip in Slovenia, the team leader held a series of meetings.

The ties of cooperation with Freundeskreis Panajotis Kondylis, the association responsible for ensuring the reception of Kondylis' ideas in Germany, are strengthening. The Research Leader of our Team visited Heidelberg on September 23-27th, 2023.

A member of our team submitted a doctoral thesis Simplification in translation of philosophical works. A corpus-based comparative study of Panajotis Kondylis' texts in German and Modern Greek and their translations.

The latest issue of the journal Studia z Historii Filozofii entirely devoted to Panajotis Kondylis has just been published.

The latest publication prepared by our team members has been published. We are talking about two dissertations by Panajotis Kondylis, translated by Lech Zieliński and Patryk Głowacki, published under the title "Marx and the ancient Greek tradition." We are pleased to announce that the first monograph in Poland devoted entirely to the figure and work of Panajotis Kondylis has just been published. The collective monograph edited by members of our team contains 15 chapters devoted to the life, work and reception of the thought of Panajotis Kondylis.

On October 13–14th, 2022 members of the Team participated in a scientific conference organized by the WSG University in Bydgoszcz.

Review of the first book of Kondylis fully translated in Polish was published in Ruch Filozoficzny

Kondylis Panagiotis Collection is a collection of 4243 volumes of Kondylis’ books, which are stored at the library of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
